Wrightも109近いアベレージだったが、van Gerwenが10ダーツ、11ダーツ、3度の12ダーツなどでフィニッシュしたため、ダブルを打つチャンスが2回に限られてしまった。
「今回もまた凄くよかったよ」とvan Gerwen。「これ以上何もないよ、Peterも凄くいいプレーをしたから、その彼から2ポイント取れたんだからね」
「今は自信で満ちているよ。本当に集中したし、2回連続でこんないい試合ができたんだ」
「ここ2週間の練習の成果が出ているし、来週もこの調子でいいゲームができるといいな」
TaylorはStokeのライバルであるAdrian Lewisが早い段階でダブルを外した隙を逃さず、5-0と圧倒的なリードを奪うと、アベレージ104の7-1で4連勝をあげ、リーグのトップを走るvan Gerwenにぴたりとついていく形となった。
「凄く安定したダーツができたけど、2ポイント取れたことの方が嬉しいね」とTaylor。「Adrianがダブルをミスしてたから、僕にとって有利な展開になったんだ。そして6-1とリードできたんだよ」
「もし相手がプレッシャーを感じているように見えたら、そのままプレッシャー下にいさせるようにするといい。僕はそうしたよ」
「大事なのは、プレーオフに進んで、Premier Leagueのタイトルを取り戻すことなんだ。とりあえず8ポイントになってうれしいよ」
現Betway Premier LeagueチャンピオンのGary AndersonはRobert Thorntonとのスコットランド人対決で、3-0のビハインドから逆転し、7-4で勝利し2ポイントを獲得し、2連勝を飾った。
「何としても2ポイントが必要だったんだ」とAnderson。「3-0でリードされたけど、そのうち2レグは勝つべきだったんだ、だからプレッシャーもすごかったけど、最後は修正できたよ」
Thorntonは今Michael Smithと2ポイント差で最下位となっている。そのMichael Smithは、Raymond van Barneveldに5-4でリードされている状況から巻き返し、7-5で勝利し、Premier League初勝利をあげた。

「勝てて本当によかったよ」とWade。「前にやったみたいに凄くいいプレーができるなんて思っていなかったよ」
「全ての試合が大規模だったけど、そうじゃなかった最後の2,3ゲームのために自分がどうできたかを考えてプレーしなかったんだ。多分ちょっとハードワークだったからかもしれないけど、勝ててよかったよ」

3-4 - Wade is unable to capitalise on three misses from Chisnall as he misses a trio of darts at doubles, allowing his rival back on double ten.
