Adrian Lewisは136アウトを見せるなど、アベレージ107.93の素晴らしいパフォーマンスで日曜日のUK OpenファイナリストのPeter Wrightに7-3で勝利し、先週7-1で負けたTaylorとの試合から見事に立ち直った。
「Peterのプレーは最近凄かったから、チャレンジングなダーツをしていかないといけないのは分かっていたんだ。だからそれができてよかったよ」とLewis。「いいプレーができたし、自分のパフォーマンスには満足しているよ」
「先週末は僕にとっていい週末じゃなかった。Premier LeagueでPhilに7-1で負けるし、UK OpenではJelle Klaasenに負けたし、本当に絶不調だったんだ。でも何とか修正したよ」
James Wadeは8ポイントでLewisに並んでいるが、彼はRaymond van Barneveldを7-5で下した。
Van Barneveldは104アウト、118アウト、161アウトでスコアを5-3とするが、Wadeの121ブルアウトが彼の復活のきっかけとなると、82をあがった。

Smithは4-1の状態から反撃を試みるが、9レグ目のAndersonの64アウトが決め手となり、最後は10ダブルをあがりAndersonが勝利した。
「本当に緊張した試合だったよ。なぜなら僕はここ数年、Michaelがどれだけ素晴らしいかを言ってきたし、まだそれをテレビでは見せていないからね。そして今夜はちょっと調子がでてなかったみたいだから、勝ててよかったよ」とAnderson。「もしMichaelが勝っていたら、僕にそれを教えることになっていただろうね」
「ポイントがとれたことは嬉しいよ、だってまだ自分のパフォーマンスには満足してないし、まだ修正ができていないんだ。ゆっくりとコツコツやっていくよ」
Thorntonは1ポイントでランキングの最下位にいる。SmithとChisnallが3ポイント、そして2014チャンピオンのvan Barneveldが開幕から6試合で4ポイントとなっている。
Betway Premier Leagueは来週の木曜日GlasgowのThe Hydroで行われる。Andersonはこの日、開幕戦を休んだ分2試合こなすことになっている。
ThorntonはそれからLivepoolで2試合行い、下位2名による直接対決で上位8名に残れるかどうかが別れるだろう。
