PHIL TAYLORはMichael van Gerwenに対して5-1の状態から反撃してドローに持ち込んだ。同様に、Gary AndersonがAdrian LewisとPeter Wrightに2連勝した。
世界ナンバーワンのvan Gerwenと16回世界チャンピオンの経験を持つTaylorが、ともに5連勝の状態で激突、リーグのトップを走る二人の天王山は白熱したが決着が着かずドローとなった。
Van GerwenはTaylorの4回に渡るダブルのミスを利用しオープニングレグをとると、その後も4連続でレグをとるなど5-1とStokeの英雄を大きくリードすした。
Taylorの84ブルトライの成功と14ダーツで120アウトなどで差を埋め、5-4とするが、van Gerwenは人目を惹きつける170アウトを見せ、最低限のポイントが確定した。

「今日はポイントをあげることになっちゃったね」とvan Gerwen。「今日はいいぷれーをしたけど、最後の最後でミスをしてしまった。でも自分のせいだからね。だって僕は色んな理由で集中しきれてなかったし、Philが本当によくなって戻ってきていたんだ」
「ポイントをとれたからまだよかったよ。でも来週はより厳しくやるよ。今回よりもっとできるはずだからね」
Taylor:「全ての瞬間が最高だったよ。Michaelは素晴らしい選手でいつも僕に影響を与える選手なんだ。だから彼と引き分けられたことは宝くじに当たったようなもんだよ」
「僕にとってファーストレグ以降は彼を追いかける立場だったけど、それがよかったんだ。これからも僕らはこういう素晴らしい試合をたくさんするだろうね」
現Premier LeagueチャンピオンのAndersonはGlasgowの10000人の観衆の前でLewisに7-4、Wrightに7-5で勝利し、一気に4ポイントを獲得した。
この2試合でワールドチャンピオンは5連勝となりポイントランキングで、van GerwenとTaylorに続く3位に躍り出た。

2009年チャンピオンのJames Wadeは124アウトなどでアベレージが100を超え、Robert Thorntonを相手に7-4で勝利し、3連勝を飾っている。彼はリーグ下位で2ポイントが欲しいスコットランド人をそこに残した。
Wadeは現在4位となっている。Wade:「いい勝利だったけど、Robertは前に進めなかったね。僕は早い段階で多くのチャンスを演出したんだ」
