PHIL TAYLORはMichael van Gerwenに対して5-1の状態から反撃してドローに持ち込んだ。同様に、Gary AndersonがAdrian LewisとPeter Wrightに2連勝した。

Van GerwenはTaylorの4回に渡るダブルのミスを利用しオープニングレグをとると、その後も4連続でレグをとるなど5-1とStokeの英雄を大きくリードすした。

「ポイントをとれたからまだよかったよ。でも来週はより厳しくやるよ。今回よりもっとできるはずだからね」
Taylor:「全ての瞬間が最高だったよ。Michaelは素晴らしい選手でいつも僕に影響を与える選手なんだ。だから彼と引き分けられたことは宝くじに当たったようなもんだよ」
「僕にとってファーストレグ以降は彼を追いかける立場だったけど、それがよかったんだ。これからも僕らはこういう素晴らしい試合をたくさんするだろうね」
現Premier LeagueチャンピオンのAndersonはGlasgowの10000人の観衆の前でLewisに7-4、Wrightに7-5で勝利し、一気に4ポイントを獲得した。
